Heaven is a Solid Structure

In the Biblical account of Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood, an interesting detail is often overlooked. The vaulted dome structure of the firmament of heaven is described to have physical openings through which the flood waters burst forth: Genesis 7:10-11And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and 👉the windows of heaven were opened.👈 Genesis 8:2The fountains of the deep and 👉the windows of heaven👈 were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained. An ancient Israelite scripture known as the book of Jubilees says there are 7 of those windows: Jubilees 5:24-25And the Lord opened seven flood-gates of heaven, and the mouths of the fountains of the great deep, seven mouths in number. And the flood-gates began to pour down water from the heaven forty days and forty nights, and the fountains of the deep also sent up waters, until the whole world was full of water. In the Book of 1st Enoch, Jared recounts a vision of the flood where he describes the heaven as a lofty roof that spewed forth 7 cataracts ‐ a type of waterfall with a large, vertical drop: Enoch 88:1-2Then one of those four went to the white cows, and taught them a mystery. While the cow was trembling, it was born, and became a man, and fabricated for himself a large ship. In this he dwelt, and three cows dwelt with him in that ship, which covered them. Again I lifted up my eyes towards heaven, and saw a lofty roof. Above it were 👉seven cataracts,👈 which poured forth on a certain village much water. Recent Posts

He Created the Firmament on the Second Day

Jubilees 2:1-16[1]And the angel of the presence spake to Moses according to the word of the Lord, saying: Write the complete history of the creation, how in six days the Lord God finished all His works and all that He created, and kept Sabbath on the seventh day and hallowed it for all ages, and appointed it as a sign for all His works.[2]For on the first day He created the heavens which are above and the earth and the waters and all the spirits which serve before him -the angels of the presence, and the angels of sanctification, and the angels [of the spirit of fire and the angels] of the spirit of the winds, and the angels of the spirit of the clouds, and of darkness, and of snow and of hail and of hoar frost, and the angels of the voices and of the thunder and of the lightning, and the angels of the spirits of cold and of heat, and of winter and of spring and of autumn and of summer and of all the spirits of his creatures which are in the heavens and on the earth, He created the abysses and the darkness, eventide , and the light, dawn and day, which He hath prepared in the knowledge of his heart.[3]And thereupon we saw His works, and praised Him, and lauded before Him on account of all His works; for seven great works did He create on the first day.[4]And on the second day He created the firmament in the midst of the waters, and the waters were divided on that day -half of them went up above and half of them went down below the firmament that was in the midst over the face of the whole earth. And this was the only work God created on the second day.[5]And on the third day He commanded the waters to pass from off the face of the whole earth into one place, and the dry land to appear.[6]And the waters did so as He commanded them, and they retired from off the face of the earth into one place outside of this firmament, and the dry land appeared.[7]And on that day He created for them all the seas according to their separate gathering-places, and all the rivers, and the gatherings of the waters in the mountains and on all the earth, and all the lakes, and all the dew of the earth, and the seed which is sown, and all sprouting things, and fruit-bearing trees, and trees of the wood, and the garden of Eden, in Eden and all plants after their kind.[8]These four great works God created on the third day. And on the fourth day He created the sun and the moon and the stars, and set them in the firmament of the heaven, to give light upon all the earth, and to rule over the day and the night, and divide the light from the darkness.[9]And God appointed the sun to be a great sign on the earth for days and for sabbaths and for months and for feasts and for years and for sabbaths of years and for jubilees and for all seasons of the years.[10]And it divideth the light from the darkness [and] for prosperity, that all things may prosper which shoot and grow on the earth.[11]These three kinds He made on the fourth day. And on the fifth day He created great sea monsters in the depths of the waters, for these were the first things of flesh that were created by his hands, the fish and everything that moves in the waters, and everything that flies, the birds and all their kind.[12]And the sun rose above them to prosper (them), and above everything that was on the earth, everything that shoots out of the earth, and all fruit-bearing trees, and all flesh.[13]These three kinds He created on the fifth day. And on the sixth day He created all the animals of the earth, and all cattle, and everything that moves on the earth.[14]And after all this He created man, a man and a woman created He them, and gave him dominion over all that is upon the earth, and in the seas, and over everything that flies, and over beasts and over cattle, and over everything that moves on the earth, and over the whole earth, and over all this He gave him dominion.[15]And these four kinds He created on the sixth day. And there were altogether two and twenty kinds.[16]And He finished all his work on the sixth day -all that is in the heavens and on the earth, and in the seas and in the abysses, and in the light and in the darkness, and in everything. The Clear Firmament – Sirach 43:1

Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 43:1-6[1] The pride of the heavenly heights is the clear firmament, the appearance of heaven in a spectacle of glory.[2] The sun, when it appears, making proclamation as it goes forth, is a marvelous instrument, the work of the Most High.[3] At noon it parches the land; and who can withstand its burning heat?[4] A man tending a furnace works in burning heat, but the sun burns the mountains three times as much; it breathes out fiery vapors, and with bright beams it blinds the eyes.[5] Great is the Lord who made it; and at his command it hastens on its course.[6] He made the moon also, to serve in its season to mark the times and to be an everlasting sign. Why would the government lie about the shape of the earth?

Psalm 2:1-12 | Brenton Septuagint (LXX) [1] Wherefore did the heathen rage, and the nations imagine vain things?[2] The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers gathered themselves together, against the Lord, and against His Christ;[3] saying, “Let us break through their bonds, and cast away their yoke from us.”[4] He that dwells in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn, and the Lord shall mock them.[5] Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in His fury.[6] But I have been made king by Him on Sion His holy mountain,[7] declaring the ordinance of the Lord: the Lord said to me, “Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee.[8] Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession.[9] Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces as a potter’s vessel.[10] Now therefore understand, ye kings: be instructed, all ye that judge the earth.[11] Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice in Him with trembling.[12] Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and ye should perish from the righteous way: whensoever His wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in Him.

(Genesis 7:11)– The heavens being made firm (Proverbs 8:28)– The heavens being stretched out (Job 9:8, Isaiah 40:22, Jeremiah 10:12, Ezekiel 1:22)– How the heavens could be rent/torn (Isaiah 64:1, John 1:51)– The heavens rolling open like a scroll (Isaiah 34:4, Revelation 6:14)– How a 1,500 mile³ literal Kingdom can sit in the third heaven above our heads (2 Corinth. 12:2-4, Revelation 21:2-27)
